I come from the Film, to review The river (1928), delightful film moves from one of my favorite directors Frank Borzage. Previously there has been talk by Dominique Paini, former director of the Cinémathèque Française at the time this film was restored and a former director of the Centre Pompidou nothing less. It was very interesting, by the passion with which he has spoken and because has spiced up their arguments with some of the sexiest scenes from classic movies no sound.

In particular, there has been one that has left me petrified of Greta Garbo and John Gilbert in Flesh and the Devil (Clarence Brown, 1926). I refer to the evidence: the whole scene is great, but if you do not have time to watch all six minutes, I recommend you go straight to 4, then you tell me ... as we heard the expert, this is a film to behold, and not only for understanding. By the way, I was not surprised to know that from there Garbo and Gilbert started a real romance. Ah! And you should see the game that gives the cigar! That according Paini is a phallic symbol .. sublime Flesh and the Devil (1926)
