DRAGO MR BELLA, THE HERO TO ME THAT THERE COULD UNDO

The weekend trip to Albacete has been helpful, among other things because it appeared from who knows where the first volume in the Ninth art-editorial Pala, San Sebastian, which I collected small and had long since given up. I imagine that this issue today, so carefully, is a classic buscadísimo by experts, but as much as I think is listed not sell.

Drago is a hero of the Pampa, handsome and gentlemanly-like send-charges, astute in detecting danger and solve dangerous entanglements -With his trusty Tabasco, which is a bit Sancho Panza, though rather naive and Flounder in matters of the heart. His father, a wealthy landowner, he's involved in shady business with blondes treacherous and ruthless Nazis ... and Drago, who longs for and resembles his late mother, will have no choice but to give back to their work as good conscience dictates ..

Burne Hogarth (1911, Chicago / 1996-Paris) was known for his work on Tarzan strips, which replaced Harold Foster.
Unfortunately Drago had a very short life, since only Sunday supplements published in 1945 and 1946.

No doubt that Hogarth was an extraordinary artist, meticulous, and very sensual ... Tarzan recalled the gaucho, at least in its sophisticated muscle ... about the gallery of females, inevitably recall the teacher Raymond, and why not, the universe of Hitchcock, who was then in his all.
Of course, there is no lull in the action ... the pace is heart ... What a joy it has given me to reconnect with Drago and his singular Pampa!
